Ralph Barragan was killed in a car accident after being hit by a car + death, obituary

Ralph Barragan's death - On December 1st, a car struck Ralph Barragan as he was walking across the Mount San Antonio College campus in Walnut. Age-wise, he was 63. The initial investigation, according to Lt. Patricia Thomas of the sheriff's office, showed that it was an intentional act. She stated that the driver, who had not been detained, had suffered injuries and was receiving care at a nearby hospital. At the time, Thomas was unaware of the extent of his injuries.

Deputies checked on Barragan after receiving a report at around 7:30 in the morning and found that he was not breathing. At the scene, he was identified as deceased. Officials from the college had already identified him even though the coroner's office had not yet made the information public. Before joining Mt. SAC, Barragan spent a total of 23 years driving buses for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), according to Scroggins. He claims that he began working as a tram driver for ACCESS, a program for children with disabilities, in 2007.
