Shelby Nord was born in New Mexico and currently resides in Columbia, South Carolina. She received her diploma from Volcano Vista High School. She attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University after graduating from high school. Shelby also received her M.M. in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Baylor University after studying piano pedagogy at the University of South Carolina.
