Residents in Herriman, Utah, have been advised to seek shelter after shooting.



Herriman Shooting - Residents in a Herriman neighborhood have been warned not to leave their homes as police respond to a tense situation involving an armed suspect who appears to have fired rounds. Police were called to the scene near 13000 South and 5100 West shortly before 6 p.m., according to the Herriman Police Department. They claimed the "suspect," a male, had a rifle and had fired rounds inside his home.

A SWAT team is on its way to the scene. The person had only threatened himself, according to police, but they warned nearby residents to stay put, and "in the basement if possible."
