Lucio Garcia of Watsonville died on Sunday after being involved in a car accident. He was 18 at the time. Garcia's vehicle, according to reports, went off the side of Airport Boulevard at Pajaro Lane and collided with a bridge guardrail. The California Highway Patrol is still looking into the cause of a single-car accident that happened the day before around 2 a.m. on Airport Boulevard, east of Pajaro Lane.

According to reports, the man was driving a 2004 Lexus sedan westbound on Airport Boulevard when he lost control of the car and slammed into a metal bridge guardrail. The driver, who died from his severe injuries at the scene of the collision, was traveling at an unknown speed, according to the California Highway Patrol. The presence of drugs or alcohol during the collision was not immediately clear to the investigators.
