The cause of death of Kim Hoffman, also known as Kim Sikora Hoffman on Facebook, had not been made public at the time this article was published. Kim Hoffman's beloved son, Brooke Girres, wrote on Facebook, "She was simply the best."

'Please pray for my dad and our family as we try to wrap our heads around this,' said Brooke Girres. Kim Hoffman will be greatly missed by her husband and son, Brooke Girres, as well as numerous other family members. Brooke Girres wrote on Facebook in her grief:

There aren't any words. Please pray for my father and our family as we try to make sense of this. My mother died unexpectedly yesterday afternoon. We had a fantastic weekend, putting up both of our trees and simply hanging out. She was simply outstanding. She is now with Jesus and my grandmother in heaven, and we will see her again someday.
