Jamie Wittenberg's Death - According to reports, Judge Jamie L. Wittenberg of the 44th District Court in Royal Oak died on Sunday, November 20. He was 48 years old at the time. Judge Wittenberg was a long-time Berkley resident and a prominent member of the community. He was a gift to all, according to the 44th District Court, and there are so many words to say about a man to honor and a life to celebrate.

They are in mourning as a community, and our thoughts and prayers are with his loving wife Staci, his wonderful daughters, and the entire Wittenberg family, whom we love and support. There will be a time to honor and celebrate Wittenberg.

A memorial service will be held at the Dorfman Chapel-Main Chapel on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022, at 2:00 PM.

Jamie Wittenberg is who?

Chief Judge James L. Wittenberg is James L. Wittenberg in Michigan's 45A District Court. He was elected to the court in November 2008, and he took his seat on the bench in January 2009. In 2009, the Michigan Supreme Court appointed him to the position of Chief Justice. Wittenberg earned a bachelor's degree in public affairs and a law degree from Wayne State University and Indiana University, respectively.

Before being elected to the bench, Wittenberg worked as an assistant prosecutor for the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office from 2005 to 2008. He also has previous experience working for the Wayne County District Attorney's Office.
