Death of James T. "Jim" Cox - James T. "Jim" Cox, 51, of Port Byron, IL, has died. On Saturday, November 19, 2022, he died peacefully at home. The news that James Cox had died was brought to our attention by a Facebook post made by Abby Mull on November 18th, 2022. As of this writing, the family of James Cox has not made any public statements about the circumstances surrounding their loved one's death or the cause of death. As a result, we are unable to discuss or comment on the events that led up to James Cox's death.

What was James Cox's name?

G. Thomas and Sandra (McNeal) Cox, Jim's parents, welcomed him into the world on December 5, 1970, in Fort Meade, Maryland. As the son of a man who spent his entire career in the Navy, he moved around a lot as a child but eventually finished high school in Caribou, Maine. Following graduation, Jim enlisted in the United States Navy, where he spent his entire twelve-year commitment working in the nuclear propulsion department. He found work as a training instructor at the Exelon Nuclear Generating Station in Cordova, Illinois, after receiving an honorable discharge from the military in the year 2000.

During his time at Exelon, he was promoted to a variety of positions of leadership.
