Robbery in PHILADELPHIA- An attempted carjacking and robbery in Philadelphia's Brewerytown neighborhood resulted in an accident. On Friday, just before 4 a.m., investigators discovered the stolen SUV inverted at the intersection of North 28th and West Thompson Streets. The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into several parked vehicles on the road. The Action Cam that was at the site captured footage of the vehicle when it was on its roof.
An automobile was stolen near the intersection of 26th and West Jefferson, more than a mile from the scene of the collision. According to the police report, a woman was getting out of her car around 2:00 a.m. when three young men raced up to her, smashed her face into the steering wheel, threw her to the ground, and then sped away in her car. "That's very disturbing," Janine Dymond says, "and more concerning is that they would have attacked someone coming home."
Then, twelve hours later, police were called to the South Philadelphia neighborhood for a possible carjacking attempt. According to police, three people stole the man's key fob, but his vehicle was not taken. “
